Simone Renzi is an engineer, entrepreneur and technology manager operating at the crossroads of complex digital-ecosystem development, scientific research and the integration of Artificial Intelligence into corporate workflows. Primarily active as Founder and Sole Director of RENOR & Partners — an IT consulting and software-development firm based in Ariccia (Rome) — Renzi represents a paradigm of excellence in cloud infrastructure design, Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and hardware-software integration. His work goes beyond writing code: it extends to creating architectures capable of deeply optimizing production processes and improving the quality of people's working lives.
Simone Renzi's educational background is defined by a rare synergy between scientific rigour and advanced artistic training. Degree in Computer Engineering, Degree in Sound Engineering, Master's Degree in Piano Performance. Although classical music education and software engineering may seem like distant domains, they share deep structural roots. The ability to read and perform complex compositions translates, in the digital domain, into the skill of orchestrating cloud architectures, managing asynchronous microservice networks and building scalable systems in the Cloud. This "cognitive bipolarity", which balances mathematical rigour with creative flexibility, is the primary engine behind his approach to problem solving.
Since 2004, Simone Renzi has been an official member of Mensa Italy, the global association reserved for individuals who rank in the top 2% of the world's population by Intelligence Quotient (IQ). Renzi's approach to this achievement is, however, pragmatic and inclusion-oriented, far removed from any form of elitism. This balanced psychological architecture translates into a highly effective leadership model, one that places collective well-being and synergy above obsessive control. Across his managerial experiences (including the roles of CTO and General Manager of major companies), he has consolidated a management philosophy in which "group harmony is the key to success." Categorically rejecting micromanagement practices, Renzi conceives his leadership role as that of a talent scout, whose primary task is to create the relational and technological infrastructure so that collaborators can express their full potential.
The sum of his engineering and managerial experience finds its concrete expression in RENOR & Partners. Under his leadership, the company positions itself as a strategic partner for SMEs and professional firms, with the goal of revolutionizing business processes through a rigorous framework (Audit, rapid Proof of Concept and Change Management). The core offering consists of proprietary SaaS products, designed and developed under his technical supervision, including:
• Paghe.ai: An AI-powered solution for the automatic acquisition, splitting and distribution of payslips.
• TalentFlow: A web application for talent mapping and development within corporate organizations.
• CeliachIA: An AI-enhanced mobile application for identifying gluten-free ingredients and supporting dietary health.
• NaviRoute: An iOS and watchOS app for recreational boating in the Mediterranean Sea, with 100% offline nautical charts, safe route planning adapted to the boating licence, fuel management, a logbook and safety features such as anchor-drag and man-overboard alarms.
• Auralis Piano Tuner: A professional iOS piano-tuning tool based on advanced DSP analysis, inharmonicity profiling and customer management with iCloud sync.
• ScanBoost PDF: A privacy-first iPhone document scanner with on-device Machine Learning, OCR and multi-page PDF export, distributed for free in 15 languages.
All software products embrace a privacy-by-design philosophy, rejecting the covert monetization of user data.
Simone Renzi's impact extends powerfully into academic research. Among his most prestigious international achievements is the web development of the FNS (Fractional Neural Simulator) project, a neural-network simulator cited and validated in the journal Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio). Designed to process complex EEG signals for the study of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, the project required managing enormous Big Data flows and a dense network of collaborations with leading institutions (University of Rome "Tor Vergata", Universidad Complutense and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Centro de Tecnología Biomédica). Additionally, Renzi actively collaborated with INFN (Italy's National Institute of Nuclear Physics) at the Frascati Laboratories, developing the infrastructure of the "Scienza Orienta" portal, aimed at guiding young people toward STEM disciplines.
His aptitude for lateral problem solving has also led Renzi to operate within the infrastructural dynamics of professional sport. His portfolio documents a direct involvement in the historic acquisition of the Centro Sportivo Sant'Agata on behalf of the football club Reggina 1914. Operating in the complex context of post-bankruptcy restructuring — interfacing with institutions, trustees and the immense pressure of the sporting environment — demonstrated not only technical acumen (required for the technological due diligence and prototyping of the facilities), but also formidable psychological resilience and negotiation clarity.
Through his essay writing on the RENOR & Partners blog, Renzi positions himself as a digital humanist and critical thinker. In his writings he tackles highly topical issues: from the environmental and social impact of remote working, to criticism of appearance-based meritocratic models, to the delicate ethical questions posed by Artificial Intelligence. His admonition to "never delegate thinking" to machines reveals a deep concern that AI should remain a tool in the service of humanity, rather than a vehicle for cognitive atrophy. Finally, his dedication to Maker culture sees him deeply involved in hardware engineering and IoT, from 3D printing to industrial sensor development. Crowning this propensity for physical exploration, Renzi also holds the ENAC Open A1-A3 Certificate as a remotely piloted aircraft (drone) pilot — a further extension of his ability to acquire data and deliver practical solutions in any operational environment.

scanboost.itDuring his studies and especially after the end of his studies, he collaborates with projects ranging from the creation of information portals to SaaS for storage in the big-data field.
For the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, during the internships for a total duration of 1 year, he created the web portal "Scienza Orienta" for students of secondary schools for orientation to studies at the end of the Diploma.
He works for a web portal development project in collaboration with the University of Tor Vergata, the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the Complutense University and the Madrid Biomedical Technology Center, for the organization of large amounts of data from a neural engine capable of capturing data from electroencephalograms for the study of diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
He is also working on Spectrascan Gluten, a Raman spectroscopy system that detects gluten in food. A Raspberry Pi CM5 programmed in Python drives the 785 nm laser and the spectrometer, acquires the spectra of the samples and compares them with the reference signatures of wheat, barley and rye.
Some of these collaborations are continuing with spot projects.

Since 2004 he has been a member of the Italy Mensa. This association, reserved for people who are within the 2% of the population with the highest IQ, aims to "discover and encourage human intelligence for the benefit of humanity; encourage research on the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence; encourage social contacts between members, discussions, publications, conferences or other useful ideas for these purposes. Mensa has no political, philosophical or religious opinion and does not discriminate against race, class, culture or sex. Mensa is not for profit. "Admission" is therefore solely dependent on the candidate's score obtained in a supervised IQ test. In order to become a member you must have an IQ such as to obtain at least 148 points for the Cattel Culture fair intelligence test. Since there are different scales of evaluation of the IQ, it was decided to determine a universal threshold, which was independent of any scale adopted: in order to be admitted as a member it is therefore necessary to return with one's IQ in the 98th percentile of the world population: that is, it's necessary to belong to that 2% of people in the world who have the highest Intelligence Quotient of all. The probabilistic distribution of intelligence is represented by the normal random variable.
Simone participated as a guest in television broadcasts to discuss with other guests and psychologists on the intelligence of the infantile age.
